Meditation Clarified

Ever since the last video on "feeding your spirit" in the How to Flow Through Life Challenges series, I've been inundated with questions about meditation. So, I created today's video to help clear up some potential misconceptions and frustrations. Please take a moment to watch your next video.

James!!
Thanks so much for that insight. I am really amazed and delighted by how serendipitous that was for me. To suggest that there is a difference between Eastern and Western minds is reassuring to me, since I haven't felt that the Eastern methods called to me at all. Sound meditations and visualizations are more my speed! Thank you again for sharing.

I use brainwave entrainment CD's to help me meditate. How is this practice viewed by JRI?

Feed Your Spirit

Here we are on the fifth principle of How to Flow Through Life Challenges. Hopefully you took the time to set a clear intention on where you're going and incremental goals towards getting there.

Today's session is every bit as important if not more so. Please take a moment to watch your next video.

I have an honest question that I've wondered about for months. I own all your books and you've said "what you think about, you bring about" and about the law of attraction. How you in the past even tried to find the meaning in getting a flat tire.

If the law of attraction is a true principle, what were you focusing or thinking about in the time period leading up to the sweat lodge incident? I'm sorry to bring it up, but wondered if you had a response as to where your energy and attention was that allowed this situation to be brought into your life. (Obviously you can only answer for yourself, not the participants) If you could answer this, perhaps your followers who watched the dateline nbc episode could see your side on why this may have happened with you, using the law of attraction instead of another sweat lodge operator. As this could've happened in any sweat lodge.

Lastly, you have my support, and I'm only asking because I've followed you for a long time and thats why I wonder if you had worries about problems happening on a retreat. (As a person studying airplane crashes enough could bring that about in their life.) Thanks so much. Any response would be appreciated

Hi, James
I just learned about you a couple of weeks ago when I got the DVD from Netflix. I also listened to the audio "Quantum Creations," and I enjoy your preaching style! I was particularly moved by the statement: "I am not a physical being having a spiritual experience; I am a spiritual being having a physical experience!"
I appreciate you sharing so generously in this blog format. I hope to meet you one day.

James,

This video, and the previous one, both hit a real chord with me.

Thank you for both.

I wish there were some way to download them and keep them for posterity.

I know you're facing some real challenges, and it's easy for me to be hypothetical -- but if I were you, I'd plead no-contest, and take a deal for a couple of years in the big house, and work on myself -- and write, write write, and emerge a far stronger being.

Nevertheless -- all the best with your challenges.

Are you living from the outcome?

Here we are on the fifth principle of How to Flow Through Life Challenges. You should be feeling more alive and vibrant now that you are taking better care of your body and your mind. And hopefully you have considered a mentor, someone who can keep you connected to higher principles.

Now it's time to put together a plan for the life you choose to create. Please take a moment to watch your next video.

Hi James,

What you mentioned on Progress = Fullfillment is so simple but I belive has just unlocked any doubts or fears I had on the direction I am going in.

Whenever I go through a period of not moving forward with my business I feel unsatisfied with my whole life. With the little equation you mentioned has helped me realise what action(s) I need to do in order to make me FEEL fullfilled - and its as simple as just taking steps towards my end goal or vision.......as long as I do this then I will always feel fullfilled as i'm doing what I believe I am here to do......so thanks!
Matthew, UK

Hello James,
Thank you for this video.
As you say, I do know about writing down action plans. I usually don't do it, so my first activity after this is to ask myself why. If I consciously want something to happen, and I have the intention, but I don't commit enough to create an action plan and set of tangible goals, then something is wrong.

As I write this, in my heart of hearts, I already know why. I am afraid of success (subconsciously) and I don't think I am worthy of having a wonderful, exciting, fulfilling life (also subconsciously). This sounds trite, but actually I think it is my real stumbling block. I have false beliefs around success and self-worth that I need to unearth and replace with more loving, empowering programs.

Your video helped me to clarify the absolute importance of having plans and working consistently towards them. On a conscious level, it is so obvious that we take this truth for granted - and often do nothing.

I do write "daily action plans", things I must do. I do them and cross them off. The bottom line is committing them to paper does focus my attention. So if it works perfectly for me on a daily basis, why don't I do the same for long term, and important projects? Well, I suddenly recognise that all my evidence points to the effectiveness of committing mental concepts to physical, tangible form. Sadly I have allowed myself to believe I'm not worth achieving heartfelt goals - I have kept them locked in my heart (desires) and mind (where I look at them privately as a voyeur). Of course they then don't eventuate and I tell myself that I can't have what I want, or I can't make it happen. It is a self-fulfilling prophecy. I want something but don't do what it takes to get it (but don't take responsibility for not taking sufficient action). Then I get dissatisfied about it "not happening for me" and get to blame someone else (the universe) for 'never' getting what I want.

Thank you for this powerful video. You have presented the facts so eloquently as to why visions must be written down (spell cast). I know from day-to-day life that writing 'to do' lists works for me. Now I must take responsibility for making the really great visions manifest; overcome my non-serving programs (low self-worth, fear, doubt, wanting to stay with the known); and spell cast my vision and the incremental steps to get there.

I love your perspective on the pleasure being in the progress, achieveing milestones, not just the outcome. You are absolutely right and what a much more rewarding and exciting way to live. I want to spend much more time savouring the evidence that I am continuously manifesting successes on the journey, and not just relish my arrival at the destination.

You said, "It's not what your know that changes your life, it's what you DO with what you know." Absolutely true. Perhaps equally relevant after viewing this video is, "It's not what you achieve that changes your life, it's the milestones on the journey that make it so much more worth while."

Thank you James - and live this time of adversity with wisdom. It's what you DO that counts!

Polarity Shift

Here we are in session number three of "How to Flow Through Life Challenges." In the last two sessions we talked about the mind and body. Did you create your action plan of what you're going to do to live a healthier life? If not, please take the time now--your body and mind will thank you (as your results will reflect your action).

In today's session, I will explore the 3rd factor that will help you ease more elegantly through your times of challenge: This is something that's made a tremendous difference in my life and the life of countless others.

Live Elegantly

Here we are in session number two of "How to Flow Through Life Challenges." In the last session we talked about the mind. I hoped since we talked you're more aware of what you're putting in your mind on a regular basis. Today's principle is the body. The mind and the body are inter-connected. How you feel in the body is going to determine how you think. Please take a moment to watch your next video.
